World's most popular instant messaging app, Whatsapp has added a voice-calling functionality into it's application. .
Screen shots and later a video of Whatsapp's new feature was posted on Reddit by a Reddit user Pradnesh Patil a.k.a. Pradnesh07. According to him, he got access to the long rumored feature when he downloaded the latest version of Whatsapp (V2.11.508) on a Nexus 5 running Android Lollipop.
He says, the feature gets switched on when
a user who already has it calls another user.
The voice-call feature is not available to everyone yet. You need an Android 4.4 or 5 powered phone. You'll also have to download the latest version of Whatsapp (V2.11.508) via their website on your phone. (you'll have to enable installing apps from unknown sources in security settings first).
The current roll-out puts Whatsapp in direct competition with the likes of Skype and Viber. Even though it has not been officially announced by Whatsapp.
